Macaroni Soup

Ingredients:

75 g macaroni

1 skinless chicken drumstick or breast

25 g diced carrot

500 ml water

¼ tsp salt

Pepper to taste

2 chilies

1 stalk spring onion

1 stalk coriander

4 shallots

Cooking Method:

  1. Chop the following ingredients:
  • 2 chilies
  • 1 stalk spring onion
  • 1 stalk coriander
  1. Slice the shallots and stir fry till golden brown.
  2. Heat water in a saucepan until it boils.
  3. Add the macaroni and boil it for 10 -15 minutes or until ready.
  4. Drain the macaroni and run through with cold water.
  5. In another saucepan, boil some water and add in the diced carrot and salt.
  6. When the water starts to boil again, add in the chicken and allow it to cook.
  7. When chicken is cooked remove it from the saucepan and let it cool, then, shred it.
  8. Place the macaroni and shredded chicken into the serving bowl, add the hot carrot soup.
  9. Garnish with chopped chilies, coriander, spring onion and fried shallots before serving.

  6. 水再次滚后,加入鸡肉。
  7. 当鸡肉熟透,取出待凉,再切丝。
  8. 将通心粉和鸡肉丝盛在碗里,加入热腾腾的红萝卜汤。
  9. 用辣椒、芫茜、青葱和油葱点缀再上桌。
